I’ve spent the majority of my life in Utah, and I’m so lucky to know this beautiful state so well. I feel so much excitement when I get to share monumental moments with couples here and in neighboring areas.
I prioritize your comfort and never want your wedding day to feel like a big photoshoot production. My goal is to capture all those in between moments and details, having you focused on your day and each other. I don’t want you to have to worry about the photos. My goal is to make couples feel confident that I’ve got it covered. While there is a time for a posed portraits that should not take away from your event.
My style and approach
I believe in real moments.
While there’s a place for posed portraits on your wedding day, I believe they should be brief and naturally fit into the day, allowing focus to be on capturing genuine moments, activities, and real interactions with your partner and loved ones.
Instead of only rigid poses, I use prompts to create natural moments and therefore, natural images.

How’d I get here?
I remember as a new registered nurse I was with a patient that had recently passed in the ICU. I looked at his bedside table and noticed a photo of him with his kids. I felt a pain and an urgency that I have never before felt. I realized that life is fleeting and in the end all our loved ones have are the photos. I could never get that photo out of my mind.
As soon as I could, I went to Sam’s club and bought my first DSLR camera and began taking photos daily of my twin baby boys. Years later, I began my photography business.
I have been present for the most vulnerable and traumatic parts of peoples life’s and deaths. I value those experiences and people so much. I hold a space in my soul for them and their pain. With that, I have developed such a need to hold space for the joy and happiness of strangers. Being present on your wedding day is such a privilege to me- an experience I will never take for granted. To photograph the vulnerable, living feelings of you and those you love is priceless.

Mette was the most amazing photographer that me and my wife have ever worked with. It was so nice being able to trust that she would get the pictures that we wanted for our wedding. She captured every important detail of our day and so much more. Not only did she take fantastic photos she was so fun to be around and was so helpful with small tasks to make sure our day went as smoothly as possible. We will continuing using Mette for our family and honestly any excuse to get our pictures taken. I wish I could give her more than five stars!
