Sinclair Photoshoot
Ricardo & Gracie’s Sinclair Photoshoot in Alberta, Utah
One of my favorite parts of being a photographer is getting to see couples again after their wedding day. Ricardo and Gracie are one of those couples. I photographed their engagements, bridals, and wedding in 2024. When they reached out again this year, I knew it would be special.
A Meaningful Location
This location wasn’t just any backdrop. Ricardo actually works for Sinclair, so choosing the vintage Sinclair gas station as their session spot made it extra special and personal. It wasn’t just a cool building—it represented a part of their story. From the moment I heard the idea, I knew it was going to be an unforgettable photoshoot.
Shooting at the Vintage Sinclair Gas Station
At first, we planned to take their photos outside the historic Sinclair station. The green and white exterior has such an iconic, retro feel that made for some incredible shots. But then the owner of the building offered to open it up for us to take photos inside.
Stepping inside was like walking straight into history. The space was filled with old, untouched treasures—vintage magazines, calendars, bottles, and cans that looked like they had been sitting there for decades. Every corner held something unique, and it was the perfect environment to capture photos that felt authentic, nostalgic, and different from any other session.
Why I Loved This Session
There was something so fun about pairing Ricardo and Gracie’s modern love story with the timeless feel of the Sinclair station. They laughed, explored, and made the space their own while I captured it all. These sessions are my favorite—the ones where the location adds an extra layer of meaning to the photos and gives the couple memories they’ll never forget.
Planning Your Own Unique Photoshoot
This Sinclair photoshoot reminded me just how important it is to choose a location that tells part of your story. Whether it’s tied to your work, your hobbies, or just a place you both love, those personal touches make your photos even more meaningful.
