Gemini Bridge Elopement

Is Gemini Bridge in Moab Utah a good location for my elopement? Let me break down the pros and cons for you, but first lets keep in a few things in mind. Follow leave no trace principles when visiting this area by staying on designated trails and packing out all items and trash.

Cons:

  1. You will need a high clearance vehicle. If the roads are wet it may be completely impassable. Make sure you keep an eye on the weather, road conditions and get familiar with the seasons in this area.
  2. Your photographer must have a Moab BLM permit to photograph your elopement in this area. Plan a minimum of 30 days in advance to secure this permit.
  3. The bridge is a cliff. If you are scared of heights don’t get married on a cliff!

Pros:

  1. Privacy! Because not all vehicles can access it, less people elope here. A weekday sunrise elopement shouldn’t be too crowded! I also like the lighting at sunrise because the bridge is facing east. This allows the sunrise to come up behind the couple!
  2. It’s a stunning red rock cliff! There is also another cliff nearby that has a ledge and is super pretty to photograph.
  3. You will need to complete a short hike/walk from the parking lot which would make for some fun candid photos.
  4. Proximity to Moab attractions. It is less than 30 min. from hotels and food!

I really do believe Gemini bridge is one of the most stunning and incredible landscapes to get married in front of. Reach out to me if you have questions or want to book your photo coverage!
